Three Generations of Learners

What a wonderful opportunity for a whole family to learn together!

Elvia Martinez has volunteered as a tutor of both Spanish and English since January 23, 2007. She has tutored a total of 146 times in the English classes and numerous classes of Spanish for our Spanish for Tutors. Elvia's family has participated in the English classes. Her mother has attended more than 200 classes, and her husband and Aunt have attended numerous classes as well. Her daughter also enjoys participating in the Children's program. It's really a family of learning.

Elvia says her experience of tutoring at ELPW, "has taught me the value of my two languages." She says to potential volunteers, that tutoring is "a great way to understand what a struggle learning English is and what a blessing to teach others what you know." As for potential students, Elvia said, "this is a comfortable experience for students." She explained that she is very proud of the students for all their accomplishments. Thank you Elvia and all the family for participating at ELPW.
